War Hawks And Fuel Efficiency

Slate published a great article called 'As Green as a Neocon' about how some conservatives are embracing the benefits of fuel efficiency on a personal level.

No matter the motivation - carbon emissions or energy independence - we're happy to see that politics are affecting consumer purchases.

America can only agree on one thing, and that is we need to be independent of Mid East oil. Let us all look forward to less terrorism, a smaller deficit due to war efforts, and less devisiveness in this country. Strange to think a new technology can actually do all that, yet make no mistake. These improvements will come from NOWHERE else.
